21. פּ♂The Sick Duke♂🜗; The Tower. Duke Duenech represents green vitriol. VITRIOL is an acronym: Visita Interiora Terrae Rectificando Invenies Occultum Lapidem, Vitriol often stands for sulfates. The alchemical duke gets sick and is put through a hell to gain strength which surpasses all soldiers. Self-conceit will requite doom as will building a Tower to defeat God: pride comes before a fall. Iron is alchemically symbolized by Mars. Green vitriol is iron sulfate, our sick duke: what we need to separate the gold from the chloride in dragon’s blood. And dragon’s blood is a great name for gold(III)chloride. That dragon is our ego and needs to be put underfoot, to be sweated out and coughed up; so from the ignoble we may purify true gold. For the next five days look honestly at that which is wrong with your soul and walk through your sickness with better decisions.
